This HQ octagon serving tray is made of solid wood that is hard pressed with a mosaic layer which itself is hand impregnated with mother of pearl.  The mosaic layer itself is made of many different types and colours of wood (e.g. walnut, lemonwood, rosewood) that are brought together to produce the distinct mosaic design. The tray is varnished and polished to a smooth glossy finish. A great piece of art as well as serving tray.
